no returns please
Mood:  bright
Topic: spirit

THis is the world of difference now and then.

. what it was 60 years ago,  it is not now.  and also everchanging.  no one has the right to say to another.  but sometimes it tells a different story., because we belong to each other as we do, i have a right to know yout thoughts.

not even a mother may treat her child that way.  all demands of this sort are foolish and unwholesome. and since the time changes, in this matter GIVING is the only remarkable process.  yes, it is only giving that stimulates.   so keep the world under serenity, impart as much as u can of your SPIRITUAL BEING to those who are on the road with you and accept as something precious what comes back to u from them.  the the inner system goes on giving u satisfaction that it was worth to be on this earth.

inconvenience
Mood:  down
Topic: bus strike.

this is a phenomina everywhere, slightly dissatisfied, go om strike. govt sometimes is also responsible because of red-tapism.

today, the bus, van, truck and other vehicle owners went on strike, ' on not to arrest them when an accident occurs and if arrested, bail shd be given rather than confinment.'

i do not know what has happened, since because of workload could not open tv.       but whay i saw was tremendous      in front of each school, hiundred of parents were thronged = to leave their wards to school,   the roads were blocked.  in small classes, theY declared holidaY, AND THE PARENTS only to know when reaching several kilometers to leave the child and come back, with self anger "why not phoned the school befloe leaving home with the child."

very tragic situation   =   one day's study is so important, that u spend petrol, your leave, if in job,  leaving house in dissembled condition in early winter morning .    who thinks of public inconvenience.      both sides are responsible.   the persons who make law, and the persons prey of law................?.

DEEPAWALI
Mood:  celebratory
Now Playing: festival of lamps.
Topic: festivals in india

in india yesterday, we celebrated Deepawali festival with much gusto and enjoyment. there were crackers all around and almost all houses of Hindu community were bathing in the light of earthen pot lamps and the tiny bulb series of electricity circled from one corner to another.

the smell of sweets being made in the houses by housewives was very much rampant in the atmosphere.

some 40 years back, there were no hotels or sweetmeat-sellers and the sweets and saltry material were made in each and every home to celebrate 'Deepawali'(means line of lamps) and the same was exchanged from house to house of the friends, and now on arrival new culture, market for everything has very much widened and the things are available readymade, but still in very many homes, the sweets and saltry things are made to keep the tradition.

it is a mythological stoty of Lord Rama and demon king Ravan.  Rama presented goodliness or purity of character while was termed as the king of evils.  Rama killed Ravan in a fight and returned as a victorious to his capital, AYODHYA, and on his return , the residents of AYODHYA lighted the whole town with lighted lamps to celebrate victory of their Lord Rama with cheerfulness and enthusuasm.

so the tradition continues and every year in oct/nov,as it falls according to Hindi calender, perhaps on 'kartik amavasya' , this festival is celebrated throughout India with some difference as the territories differ.

now 9 days have passed and another festival, 'Dussehra' is going to end tomorrow, which startred 9 days ago.  this time also people put different 'jhankis'(tableau) at different places but of MOTHER DURGA & KALI, both are worshipped for killing the demons to save people from their clutches hundreds of yrs ago.

tomorrow will be the main day when another demon king will be killed(in statue form) called RAVAN in the hands of SHRI RAM, whose wife he kidnapped 14 yrs ago and now his sins are overflowing.  where RAVAN will be burnt(a statue about 55ft tall) to death alongwith his brother KUMBHKARNA AND son MEGHNATH.  there will be the crowd of 1 lakh to 3 lakh people at minimum 15 places where the above persons effigy will be burnt.  fair like crowd with ladies and children. and by 8/9'0 clock the whole crowed will be  terminated to their homes. and this will be the end.
